Over the last year or so Carrie Underwood has lost a significant amount of weight. She credits this change to keeping a detailed log of her food intake on a daily basis.
During an interview with Glamour Magazine, Carrie said that the log along with cardio and no meat helps her remain healthy.
“I’m slightly obsessive-compulsive about what I eat, more than I should be. I write down everything I eat,” the American Idol, 24, champ dishes in Glamour magazine’s January issue. “I started doing it last year. And in the last year is when I’ve gotten more healthy and lost weight.”
What does she eat? Well, no meat. She’s been a vegetarian since age 13. (Listen up, Chace Crawford: “I don’t think I could kiss someone after they ate a hamburger ’cause they would probably taste like it, and that would gross me out,” she tells Glamour.)
Underwood also says she she enjoys cardio and “that big exercise ball.”

Carrie Underwood wint award beste countryzangeres Carrie Underwood is woensdag in Nashville uitgeroepen tot beste countryzangeres. De 24-jarige zangeres, die in 2005 American Idol won, werd onderscheiden tijdens de 41e editie van de Country Music Association Awards. Ze nam ook de prijs voor beste single mee naar huis, voor haar nummer 'Before he cheats'.
Zanger Kenny Chesney, die twee jaar geleden kortstondig getrouwd was met actrice Renée Zellweger, kreeg de prijs voor entertainer van het jaar. Brad Paisley werd onderscheiden als beste countryzanger en de clip van zijn nummer 'Online' werd uitgeroepen tot beste video.
De show werd geopend door de formatie Rascall Flatts, die later op de avond onderscheiden werd als beste groep, met het nummer 'Still feels good'. De avond werd gepresenteerd door Desperate Housewives-acteur James Denton, Grey's Anatomy-actrice Kate Walsh en According to Jim-actrice Kimberly Williams-Paisley, de vrouw van 'beste countryzanger' Brad.
De Country Music Association Award-show was niet de enige countryshow deze week in Nashville. Dinsdag vond de 55e editie van de jaarlijkse BMI country-awards plaats. Tijdens deze avond werd zanger Willie Nelson met een oeuvreprijs geëerd voor zijn belangrijke bijdrage aan de muziek. In mei vindt er elk jaar nóg een grote show plaats waar countrymuzikanten worden geëerd, de Country Music Awards.

hebben ze daar ook al wedstrijden voor? jesus... ik zie 't al voor me in een Cv
"gekozen omdat ik een lekkere vegetariaan ben" ... maar ja, lekker is ze zeker!
Voor zo'n schone laat ik ook graag mijn karbonaatje staan
