Dreamgirls Three friends from chicogo form the promising group The Dreamettes. Deena Jones, Effie White and Lorell Robinson, together they enter a talent competition. during the competition they meet James "Thunder" Early and they become his back up singers. It doesn't take long of the girls grow to real stars and record there own single. The manager makes some changes in the group. The full figured lead singer Effie is replaced with the much slimmer Deena. Effie doesn't accept that and disides to leave the group. Michelle Morris replaces Effie. Deena & the dreams become a big succes, but succes is not everthing.
