 Tom, Katie en Suri Cruise zijn verzekerd van een witte kerst. Het gezinnetje brengt de feestdagen met vrienden door in een skigebied in Colorado, zo vertelt Katie in het Amerikaanse tijdschrift Parade Magazine.
De keukenstaf van het steenrijke Hollywoodstel reist niet mee naar het huis in de bergen. "We houden allebei van koken", vertelt de brunette. "Ik maak waarschijnlijk aardappelpuree met knoflook en een kwarktaart en Toms specialiteit is pasta carbonara met citroen." Over de hoeveelheid calorieën die ze tijdens de feestdagen naar binnen werkt maakt de 29-jarige actrice zich niet druk. "We skiën heel veel", legt ze uit.
Aan kerstcadeautjes is ook geen gebrek in huize Cruise. Volgens verschillende Amerikaanse media heeft Katie de afgelopen tijd al bijna vijftigduizend euro uitgegeven aan geschenkjes voor haar echtgenoot en 1-jarige dochter. Zo zou ze onder meer een Cartier-horloge, een kostuum van Armani, slangenleren Gucci-gympen en een ski-jack van Prada hebben gekocht voor haar grote liefde.
Voor oogappel Suri ligt onder meer kleding ter waarde van drieduizend euro onder de boom.

Kate Holmes has apparently angered Tom Cruise for insisting she be allowed to join the next season of the hit reality show "Dancing with the Stars."
Cruise reportedly doesn't approve of the idea because he hates reality TV. He has threatened Holmes to participate but Mrs. Cruise is determined to join.
The source says Holmes' friend Victoria Beckham has introduced her to fellow Spice Girl Melanie Brown who in turn arranged for her to meet with the show's producer. Brown had reportedly encouraged her to go for it but Cruise is so vehemently against the idea.
"Tom's dead against Katie going on," the source says. "Katie's sick and tired of Tom micro-managing her career and she's hired a private dance instructor."

The stunning actress, who is married to Tom Cruise, has topped a poll conducted by America's OK! magazine to find the most fashionable celebrity.
In recent months, Katie has transformed herself from her tomboy "Dawson's Creek" character Joey Potter into a sleek fashionista who is never uncomfortable on the red carpet.
One OK writer said, "Katie Holmes has matured from teen queen into a pillar of fashion. This year her style was developed and fine-tuned so much so that she came to be viewed in the same realm as legends like Jackie O, helping her cruise beyond the shadow of her husband and into an iconic realm of her own."
