Peter Andre threatened to end his relationship with Katie Price after discovering that she had taken drugs behind his back.
Price has confessed to her drugs shame in her latest autobiography Pushed To The Limit, which has just been published.
The model revealed that she took an unnamed substance while suffering from post-natal depression following the birth of her son Junior in 2005. She was forced to confess to Peter after having an unexpected reaction to the drug.
"My heart seemed to be racing fast, I felt hot and I began to panic," Katie explained. "Oh my God, had I overdosed? Was I going to die?"
When she told Peter about what she had done, he shouted: "My God, that's it! That's the end of us!"
Price eventually called out a doctor, who checked the model and assured her that she would be fine. However, the incident had long-term repercussions for her relationship with Andre, who feared that his wife would become an unfit mother.
Earlier this month, Katie's former nanny Becky Gauld branded her a bad parent.
However, Price has insisted that her life is now back on track and she is planning to renew her wedding vows with Peter.
"I know it seems soon but we've already been through what most people experience in a lifetime," she said. "It would be a celebration of our love and a new start."

Britain's most famous topless model has received a breast reduction for Christmas! Jordan, real name Katie Price, accepted a bob job gift from pop star husband Peter Andre, who paid for the surgery.
Britain's Daily Mail claims the reduction procedure has already taken place, and provide before and after pictures in their Christmas Eve (24Dec07) newspaper.
Jordan is believed to have undergone surgery in Los Angeles, from where she was returning when British snappers caught sight of her new chest at London's Heathrow airport. In a recent interview, the model-turned-reality TV star revealed she was having the operation "to beat gravity".
Jordan has been in Los Angeles promoting an upcoming reality TV show.

Jordan heeft van haar man Peter Andre voor kerst een borstverkleining cadeau gekregen. Het Britse glamourmodel kwam zaterdag terug uit Los Angeles, waar zij de ingreep onderging. Dat meldt de Britse krant Daily Mail zondag. Het is nog onduidelijk welke cupmaat het 29-jarige model nu heeft.
Katie Price, zoals Jordan eigenlijk heet, verdiende miljoenen met haar beroemde borsten. In een eerder interview kondigde de brunette al aan dat ze de ingreep zou ondergaan om 'het gevecht tegen de zwaartekracht te kunnen winnen'.
Katie, die drie operaties onderging om een 75FF-cup te krijgen, zou van plan zijn om haar verwijderde implantaten op veilingsite eBay te verkopen om zo geld in te zamelen voor het goede doel. "Dat is beter dan dat ze in de afvalbak van een ziekenhuis terechtkomen", vindt ze.
Peter Andre en Katie Price ontmoetten elkaar drie jaar geleden tijdens opnamen van de Britse versie van Bobo's in the Bush. Ze hebben twee kinderen, Junior (2) en Princess Tiaamii (6 maanden). Jordan heeft ook nog een zoontje uit een eerder huwelijk, Harvey (5).
