Could Amy Winehouse be turning fashion model for Roberto Cavalli?

It is rumoured that the Italian designer has approached the singer, following a recommendation from Victoria Beckham.

A source told the Mirror this weekend; 'Cavalli was suitably taken in by what Victoria had to say that he's now determined to get Amy on board.'

Posh has reportedly become quite a fan of Winehouse, for both her music and personal style. She commented earlier this year, 'She has a real sense of style that I love. She is a fashion icon because she's unique.'

It is believed that Cavalli has approached Amy with an offer of a lifetimes supply of free clothes, in return for her wearing them at her concerts, performances and public functions.

Winehouse's spokesperson refused to confirm the deal, but added, 'Amy is considering many offers at the moment.'

Amy Winehouse kan zondag niet in levenden lijve verschijnen bij de Grammy Awards. De Verenigde Staten weigeren de Britse zangeres, die momenteel in een afkickkliniek verblijft, een visum te verschaffen. Haar geplande optreden bij het prestigieuze muziekgala zal nu per satellietverbinding plaatsvinden.

Met haar veelgeprezen album 'Back to black' maakt het 24-jarige feestbeest kans op zes Grammy's. Eerder deze week legden Britse paparazzi vast hoe Winehouse vanuit de ontwenningskliniek in Londen een uitstapje maakte naar de Amerikaanse ambassade voor de aanvraag van haar visum.

Waarom haar de toegang tot de Verenigde Staten wordt ontzegd is onduidelijk. Een eerdere arrestatie voor het bezit van marihuana zou een rol kunnen hebben gespeeld. In oktober werd de artieste in Noorwegen samen met haar man Blake Fielder-Civil aangehouden omdat ze het narcoticum in hun bezit zouden hebben gehad.

De zangeres is sinds 24 januari in behandeling. Vlak voor de opname publiceerde de Britse krant The Sun foto's waarop is te zien hoe Winehouse een crackpijpje rookt.

Soul singer Amy Winehouse, who this week appeared in video footage allegedly showing her smoking crack cocaine, has entered a rehab clinic, her record company said on Thursday.

The troubled 24-year-old, who has been dogged by frequent suggestions of drug taking in recent months, also cancelled a scheduled performance at an awards ceremony in France this Saturday, record company Universal Music Group said.

"Amy Winehouse's planned appearance at the NRJ Awards in France on Saturday has been cancelled as the artist has entered a rehabilitation clinic," the company said in a statement.

"Amy decided to enter the facility today after talks with her record label, management, family and doctors.

"She has come to understand that she requires specialist treatment to continue her ongoing recovery from drug addiction and prepare for her planned appearance at the Grammy Awards."

Winehouse is one of the country's top-selling singers, winning critical and commercial success with her album "Back to Black", which garnered six Grammy nominations in December.

The 2006 album has sold nearly five million copies worldwide, including 1.3 million in the United States.

Universal called her "the most talented and important musical artist of her generation" who had already "made huge strides on her road to recovery".

One of her most famous songs is called "Rehab", which opens with the lyrics: "They tried to make me go to rehab, I said 'no, no, no'."

She attended rehab clinics at least twice in 2007, according to media, but checked out on both occasions before her treatment was completed.

De Britse tabloid The Sun laat vandaag beelden zien waarop Amy Winehouse aan een crackpijp lurkt. De video zou gemaakt zijn tijdens één van de wilde feestjes die de zangeres regelmatig geeft. Amy beweert zelf dat ze op het feestje zes valiumpillen slikte om knock-out te raken.

Amy Winehouse is in haar appartement in Londen zuigend aan een crackpijpje vastgelegd op camera. Op de videobeelden die door de Britse krant The Sun zijn uitgegeven is te zien hoe de zangeres zeer verstrooid rondloopt in haar appartement, terwijl ze murmelt over de cocktail aan drugs die ze zou hebben genuttigd.

De zangeres nam die avond naar verluidt heroïne, xtc en cocaïne tot zich. "Ik ben nu echt nutteloos, want ik heb net zes valiumpillen geslikt om mezelf te kalmeren", mompelt ze. De beelden zouden donderdagavond zijn geschoten, een dag voor zij verscheen in de rechtbank om de zaak tegen haar man Blake Fielder-Civil bij te wonen. Wie het filmpje heeft gemaakt, is niet duidelijk.

Het gaat al langere tijd niet goed met Winehouse, die bekendstaat om haar flinke alcohol- en drugsgebruik. In augustus werd ze nog opgenomen in een ziekenhuis nadat ze een overdosis had genomen. De daaropvolgende opname in een ontwenningskliniek brak ze voortijdig af.

Mensen die denken te weten wanneer de Britse zangeres bezwijkt aan haar drugsverslaving kunnen tegenwoordig zelfs een gokje wagen op internet. Familie en vrienden van de pas geblondeerde zangeres zoeken steeds vaker de media op om Winehouse te smeken haar destructieve levensstijl op te geven.

LONDEN - Het Britse boulevardblad The Sun heeft videobeelden op zijn website staan waarop Amy Winehouse harddrugs lijkt te nemen. Het filmpje zou enkele dagen in Amy's eigen huis in Londen zijn opgenomen, tijdens een feest. Volgens The Sun maken familie en vrienden zich meer zorgen dan ooit.

Amy Winehouse heeft haar zwarte suikerspinnenkapsel ingeruild voor een kortere, platinablonde coupe. Dat is onder meer te zien op foto's in het Amerikaanse blad OK! die woensdag zijn gemaakt in Londen.

De woordvoerder van de zangeres zegt dat Amy een nieuw uiterlijk wilde voor het nieuwe jaar. Het op de jaren zestig geïnspireerde kapsel van het afgelopen jaar was haar handelsmerk geworden, maar de 24-jarige zangeres wil mogelijk een nieuw imago opbouwen.

In een interview in het blad gaat Winehouse ook in op andere aspecten van haar uiterlijk. Zo zegt ze dat ze zo dun is geworden sinds ze gestopt is met blowen, waarvan bekend is dat je er vreetbuien van krijgt. Daarnaast zou de media haar foto's manipuleren door vooral haar benen zo te fotoshoppen dat ze nog dunner lijken. Hetzelfde zou het geval zijn bij Victoria Beckham, die eveneens met regelmaat onder vuur ligt vanwege haar graatmagere verschijning.

Verder vertelt Amy dat verslaafd zijn aan alcohol een stuk erger is dan aan heroïne. Ze geeft toe last te hebben van een kwade dronk, vooral als ze niet heeft gesport of zich zorgen maakt. In alle andere gevallen wordt ze naar eigen zeggen 'heerlijk gezelschap en ontzettend lief' van een slokje te veel.

Amy Winehouse has been arrested as part of an investigation into perverting the course of justice.

Police confirmed that the 24-year-old singer was arrested yesterday when she went to a London police station by appointment. She was later released on bail.

A representative for Winehouse's publicity agency said: "It was voluntary and pre-arranged."

The singer is due return to a London police station in March pending further inquiries.

Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil is currently being held on remand accused of grievous bodily harm and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

The singer recently cancelled all her remaining concert dates for this year, claiming that she cannot perform while her husband is in jail.

Troubled "Rehab" singer Amy Winehouse took a barefoot walk around chilly East London at 5:40 a.m. on Sunday, while wearing only a bra and jeans.

Winehouse, 24, had been partying at a friend's house before she was spotted muttering on the cold streets, the London Sun reported in Monday's editions.

"Amy came out and started stumbling around," one onlooker told the paper. "She popped her head over the fence like she was looking for something. "It was freezing, and she had no shoes and just a red bra," the onlooker added. "She was mumbling something incomprehensible. It wasn't the behavior of someone in the right state of mind."

Winehouse's representative told The Sun that the British R&B singer had been awakened by a sound and simply was out looking for what had caused it.

"Amy had been asleep and heard a noise," the representative said. "She went outside to investigate. She didn't realize the time."

De politie heeft donderdag een inval gedaan in de woning van zangeres Amy Winehouse in Londen.

Daarbij zijn vier mannen tussen de 19 en 25 jaar gearresteerd op verdenking van het verhinderen dat het recht zijn loop heeft. Ze zijn direct ondervraagd.

De arrestaties hebben te maken met de zaak tegen de echtgenoot van Winehouse, Blake Fielder-Civil. Hij moet binnenkort voorkomen voor het toebrengen van ernstig lichamelijk letsel bij een barman met wie hij onlangs op de vuist ging in een Londense pub. Of de 25-jarige Blake tot de arrestanten behoorde, weigerde de politie mee te delen.

De woordvoerder van Winehouse benadrukte dat de arrestaties niets te maken hebben met drugs. Ook laat ze weten dat het goed gaat met Amy, die een drugsprobleem zou hebben, en dat zij niet is opgepakt en ook niet wordt aangeklaagd. Het stel zou niet thuis zijn geweest toen de inval plaatsvond.

Volgens de Britse krant The Sun is Fielder-Civil een van de arrestanten, en zijn de anderen zijn handlangers in een plan dat ervoor moest zorgen dat het bargevecht met een sisser zou aflopen.
