"My dad plays the Beach Boys and Ray Charles Christmas albums," says Vanessa, while Nick's favorite things to do are, "putting up the tree, watching football, eating leftovers and going to midnight service on Christmas Eve with my grandparents."

As for marriage, Vanessa explains, "I’m not going to put a time on things and say I’m going to do this by this time. We’re happy today — no pressure for tomorrow."

"We’re trying to start our own traditions, The day after Thanksgiving, we were in L.A. and we put up the tree, drank eggnog, put on Christmas carols… and it was 91 degrees! We were putting up stockings while sweating!"

"He drops chocolate & chili on the carpet a lot," Vanessa reveals about her beau's worst habit.

"I feel like I'm getting to know a whole new side of Nick," Vanessa explains. "I can't even think things anymore because he already knows what I'm thinking about!"

Fears were growing for Paul Newman last night following reports he is dying of lung cancer.

The Hollywood legend is said to have been diagnosed at New York’s Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre, where he is having outpatient treatment.

Two US publications claim the 83-year-old, who is a former chain-smoker, is under the care of a leading oncologist at the Manhattan hospital.

One quotes a family member as saying: "It’s so awful. He’s dying."

Newman's second wife of 50 years, Oscar-winning actress Joanne Woodward, 78, with whom he has three grown-up daughters, is said to be devastated.

Spokesmen for both Newman, who officially retired from acting in May last year, and the hospital declined to comment.

Owen Wilson's Suicide Confirmation

Los Angeles police have confirmed actor OWEN WILSON did try to kill himself at his Californian home on Sunday (26Aug07).

The 38-year-old was taken by ambulance from his Santa Monica property to the emergency room at the nearby St. John's Hospital at midday on Sunday.

Reports immediately began circulating that Wilson had cut his wrists and taken pills in an attempt to end his life. He was reportedly found found by big brother Andrew, who called the authorities.

And now the Santa Monica Police Department's Calls For Service report obtained by U.S. news show Extra - lists the reason for the emergency 911 call to Wilson's address as an "attempted suicide".

The phone call was received by authorities at 12.08pm on Sunday and "cleared" nearly five hours later at 5.07pm.

Wilson made no mention of the controversy in a statement he released on Monday (27Aug07): "I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time."

The actor's family was seen at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was reportedly transferred to, on Sunday night. A hospital spokesman reported Wilson to be in a "good condition" on Monday.

The Harry Potter actor revealed that he met Lohan last year in America and that she bored him by talking about herself all the time.

Grint added that he didn't want to meet Hilton because she was the sort of girl you should "stay away from".

He told The Sun: "I met Lindsay last summer and she talked about herself a lot.

"She said she was going to win an Oscar before she turns 25. I just kept thinking, 'But you can’t act'.

The 'Go' singer revealed his feelings for the 26-year-old 'Toxic' star increase with every drama in her troubled life.

He said: "Britney is like this Tennessee Williams tragic figure. The fatter she gets, the weirder she gets, the more I love her. I found her moderately appealing in the late 90s, but now I would marry her in a heartbeat!"

Moby recently said he thought most of Britney's problems - which involve losing custody of her two children after refusing to return them to ex-husband Kevin Federline - are down to the fact she was a child star.

He said: "She became an international icon aged 16. In a weird way she's challenging people, but it's breaking my heart because ultimately she's not doing things on a symbolic level. Cutting your hair off is symbolic. Losing your children and becoming a drug addict is not."

Vanilla Ice has been arrested in South Florida on a simple battery charge.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says the 39-year-old rapper was arrested late Thursday night following an incident at his home in Wellington. He was being held without bond.

It wasn't known if he had an attorney. A message left with his agent wasn't immediately returned early Friday morning.

The rapper, whose real name is Robert Van Winkle, spent a night in jail in 2001 after being arrested following a domestic dispute.

He sold 15 million copies of the single "Ice Ice Baby" in 1990.

Simon Cowell has urged Britney Spears to "go home to her mother".

The music mogul predicted the troubled singer's fall from grace months ago - after she shaved her head, checked in and out of rehab and became embroiled in a bitter custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline - and would have advised her to stay away from her "stupid friends" if he was her manager.

He said: "From where I sit, you could see it coming a long time ago. I said six months ago that she should go home.

"I'd have said, 'Stay with your mother, don't go out with your stupid friends, just live normally.' You'd be amazed - you live normally and suddenly everything becomes normal."

Simon, 48, also would have whisked Britney - who was hospitalised last week after refusing to hand back her children to Kevin - away from the public glare to help get her life back together.

Speaking on holiday in Barbados, he added to Britain's The Sun newspaper: "I would have taken her away somewhere quiet for six months. The problem with Britney is that I don't think there's anyone in her life that she listens to."

The 'X Factor' judge believes the pop star's problems need to be put into perspective when you consider the plight of others in the world.

He said: "I feel bad for Britney. But then I see the real world where people are struggling and you have to temper that with, 'Stop being stupid, go home. Life isn't that bad.' "

Richie Sambora has been arrested on allegations of drunk driving in California, it has been confirmed.

The Bon Jovi guitarist was pulled over and taken to Laguna Beach police station after being seen driving erratically at around 11pm on Wednesday.

He is believed to have been travelling with two children in his black Hummer and could face child endangerment charges, according to reports.

Sambora is said to have taken a roadside breathalyser test, and then given a blood sample at the station, before being released at 4am.

Sergeant Jason Kravetz said the star, who has recently embarked on a number of stints in rehab, was "very co-operative" at all times.

He must now appear in court in Newport Beach on May 7 on one misdemeanour count of driving under the influence.

Robin Williams and his wife Marsha Garces Williams are to divorce after 19 years of marriage.

Reuters reports that Garces Williams filed for divorce in a San Francisco court last week, citing irreconcilable differences.

Williams and his wife have been separated since 31 December.

Garces Williams is requesting joint custody of their 16-year-old son; they also have an 18-year-old daughter.

The actor met his second wife when she worked as a nanny, taking care of Williams' son with his first wife.

Mel Gibson stands accused of fraud, breach of contract and unfair business practices in a lawsuit filed by the co-screenwriter of his religious epic The Passion of the Christ.

Benedict Fitzgerald accuses Gibson, who directed the controversial 2004 film, of engaging in a "chronic and conspiratorial pattern of deceit" by telling the writer he was working on a project with a budget of between $4 million and $7 million.

Fitzgerald claims he was only paid $75,000 and that he had to borrow $200,000 from Gibson to cover expenses, reports People.com.

The Passion of the Christ went on to gross an estimated $600 million worldwide.

The lawsuit, filed on Monday, reads: "Gibson preyed monetarily on Ben, taking advantage of his unbridled enthusiasm for the project and with full cognizance of Ben's fundamental personal and spiritual beliefs."

Sean "Diddy" Combs won't face criminal charges for reportedly punching a man after a dispute at a trendy SoHo nightspot last month, prosecutors said Tuesday.

The accuser stopped cooperating with law enforcement and also gave different versions of the incident, the Manhattan district attorney's office said, and prosecutors weren't able to prove criminal charges beyond a reasonable doubt.

The 31-year-old accuser told police he and Combs had been arguing over a woman early in the morning of Oct. 13 before the rap mogul punched him in the face.

Combs' attorney, Benjamin Brafman, called the incident a disagreement between acquaintances who have known each other for 12 years.

Brafman said he was pleased that no charges would be filed against the 38-year-old Combs.

"Both Mr. Combs and I are pleased that the DA's office and the police department conducted a very thorough investigation and came to this conclusion," Brafman said.

Jackson kampt al langer met financiële problemen. Zo bleek vorig jaar dat hij de werknemers van Neverland niet meer kon betalen. De 49-jarige King op Pop woont momenteel niet in het huis.
